SYMPLA Shoulder Support System - Complete Kit   SYMPLA SHOULDER MOUNTED RIG   SYMPLA Flexible Mattebox System - Complete Kit
SYMPLA is a fully customisable component rig system, but a limited number of pre-configured kits is also available to provide ''off-the-shelf'' answers to the most common requirements for HDSLR rigs. The Shoulder Support System is one of these kits, and allows support of camera equipment on the shoulder, with swivel-joint Adjustable Handles for both hands. A Horizontal Offset element helps place the Variable Plate (to which the camera is attached) in front of your eye while shooting for better, more comfortable control of framing.
Sympla Shoulder Support Kit is a “ready to go” solution that includes all the necessary pieces inside one box, even the counterbalance weight. The Shoulder Mounted Rig is one of Sympla kits and allows support of camera equipment on your shoulder, with swivel-joint handles for perfect control and flexibility. This rig is ideal for use with HDSLRs and interchangeable lens camcorders, featuring fast camera connection thanks to the sliding plate with quick release. The Variable Plate is one of the most important component of the rig. This element permits to quickly adjust the position of the camera in combination with all other accessories used, as the mattebox.   SYMPLA is a fully customisable component rig system, but a limited number of pre-configured kits is also available to provide ''off-the-shelf'' answers to the most common requirements for HDSLR rigs. The multi-purpose Flexible Mattebox System is one of these kits, and its purpose is to improve the quality of the footage you capture by helping to control the light hitting your lens. The Mattebox holds 2 x 4x4” filters, while its angleable concertina hood protects the lens from stray light, while also permitting fast lens changes.

SYMPLA Long Lens Support System - Complete Kit   Sympla Lightweight Shoulder Mounted Rig
SYMPLA is a fully customisable component rig system, but a limited number of pre-configured kits is also available to provide ''off-the-shelf'' answers to the most common requirements for HDSLR rigs. The Long Lens Support kit is designed to reduce the vibrations generated while shooting with camera bodies in combination with long lenses, which usually have to be supported on the lens L-bracket, which itself makes the camera very susceptible to shake. The Long Lens Support gives a rigid, stable platform for filming with any camera/lens combination, by providing two height-adjust rubber-coated supports that raise and push against the base of the camera body and the end of the lens to stabilise both of them, and therefore eliminate vibration that can be caused by simple things like pressing the camera Rec button, or focusing the lens. Compatible with all Manfrotto Video Heads.   Sympla Lightweight Shoulder Support Kit is a “ready to go” solution that includes all the necessary pieces inside one box, even the counterbalance weight. The Lightweight Shoulder Mounted Rig is one of Sympla kits and it is the Manfrotto lightweight solution that allows support of camera equipment on your shoulder, with swivel-joint handles for perfect control and flexibility. This rig is ideal for use with latest HDSLRs, featuring fast camera connection thanks to RC2 quick release plate.

The SYMPLA Shoulder Pad component gives a SYMPLA video rig a solid point of contact and support for secure and smooth off-tripod shooting, without physical strain. The anatomically curved, soft rubber-covered pad is fitted to a SYMPLA Universal Mount, so it can quickly be attached to (or detached from) SYMPLA rods.

At the heart of the SYMPLA system is the Plate, which attaches your camera to the SYMPLA rig and moves it into position. The Variable Plate allows the camera and lens to be moved on three independent axes (longitudinal, lateral and vertical), a flexibility that's essential for aligning multiple camera and lens combinations with critical components like the Flexible Mattebox, or for positioning the camera viewfinder in front of your eye.

SYMPLA's Camera Body Support and Lens Support help create a more stable, vibration-free platform for shooting. Filming with long telephoto lenses on HDSLR cameras or camcorders means using the lens L-bracket as the connection between camera and rig, which creates a less than ideal weight distribution and means that the slightest movement or touch of the camera or lens (such as pressing ''Rec'', or focusing the lens) produces visible camera shake and vibration that has to be edited or removed in post-production.
The multi-purpose Universal Mount is a self-hanging clamp that slides along SYMPLA rails and locks in position with a single locking lever. The Universal Mount is the basic structural element for numerous SYMPLA components (the Flexible Mattebox, Shoulder Pad, V-Offset, Body and Lens Supports and Adjustable handles all attach to SYMPLA Rods via Universal Mounts) and it can also support external accessories.
Every person is different in height and build, and when it comes down to something as critical as a professional video rig, everyone has their own preferences for comfort and support.
The SYMPLA 160mm Horizontal Offset component allows two sets of SYMPLA Rods to be joined off-centre. The most common use is connecting the SYMPLA padded shoulder mount on short Rods with a pair of long Rods holding a Variable Plate and Mattebox that need to be directly in front of the camera operator, so that the camera viewfinder or LCD screen can be more comfortably positioned and the weight of the camera and rig more ergonomically distributed.

These 300mm (11.8'''') long Rods are one of the basic building blocks of all SYMPLA rigs, and are always used in parallel pairs to create a track which allows components to be mounted and positioned correctly. Rods can be united to make longer tracks (using the included screw junctions), joined at different heights using the V-Offset component, or shifted laterally using the H-Offset component. Although the possible uses are numerous, these long rods primarily serve as the track for SYMPLA Fixed or Variable Plates, since the extra length allows a wide range of camera and lens (and viewfinder) combinations to be correctly positioned for the operator and for other SYMPLA components, such as the Flexible Mattebox. Made in 15mm (0.59'''') diameter tubular aluminium for strength and reduced weight, 300mm Rods are the longer of SYMPLA's two sizes. Supplied as a pair, with two 1/2”-13UNC screw junctions included.   When using SYMPLA as a shoulder-mounted rig, using counterweights at the back of the rig, securely attached to the shoulder support pad, can aid balance and stability by putting the centre of the overall rig and equipment weight in line with your body's centre of gravity. The counterweight screws securely on to the SYMPLA Shoulder Pad via a 3/8” thread. Counterweights can also be stacked to offset very unbalanced loads.   150mm (5.9'''') long Rods are one of the basic building blocks of all SYMPLA rigs, and are always used in parallel pairs to create a track which allows components to be mounted and positioned correctly. Rods can be united (using the included screw junctions), joined at different heights using the V-Offset component, or shifted laterally using the H-Offset component. These short Rods are compact and useful for mounting elements like the SYMPLA Shoulder Pad, Camera Body Support or Lens Support, or Adjustable Handles that require only minimal back-front adjustment.    The Vertical Offset component is made up of two Universal Mounts with a height-adjustable spacer element bewteen them. It allows two sets of SYMPLA Rods to run parallel but at different heights, useful in situations such as when wishing to use a Camera Body Support or Lens Support with a camera with a very long tele lens with a tall front lens element that creates a height difference between body, lens front and L-bracket that can't be bridged by the Body and Lens Supports alone.   The Fig Rig camera-stabilizing system was the brainchild of film director Mike Figgis, who has employed the idea on many of his award-winning films. Non-traditional in design, simple and effective, the Fig Rig is itself a modular system which smoothly supports HDSLRs or Camcorders while acting as a frame to mount accessories including remote controls, mics, mixers, lights, monitors, arms and more. Essentially a circular frame with crossbar mount to hold the camera (via a sliding QR plate) the Fig Rig almost becomes another body part to produce smooth, steady traveling shots.

Sympla RC2 Mount   Clamp-on Electronic Remote Control for Canon HDSLRs
The RC2 Mount is a lightweight solution in order to combine video equipment such as HDSLRs or light camcorders, with rail system. Thanks to its design, it is possible to adjust the operating height of the camera in two different positions, depending on the size of the body and the dimension of the lens. The RC2 quick release plate allows fast and secure connection between the camera and the rig.   One of the world’s first true electronic HDSLR remote controls, the Clamp-On Electronic Remote Control for Canon HDSLRs lets you react quickly to changing contexts and creative inspiration.
It connects to your Canon HDSLR via USB and interfaces with the camera and lens firmware directly in order to control focus operations, live view, record start/stop & shutter release, and more.
